Our Mission

Hi there! We are Arn and Alicia, a husband-and-wife team based on San Juan Island. We are channeling our individual skill sets and combined 25 years of experience in luxury estate management and yachting to embark on our new venture, Wayfarers Estate and Yacht Management.

With a strong connection to our community and a passion for providing high-level service, we are excited to combine our deep love for the island with our collective expertise in managing luxury estates and yachts.

Our mission is to offer bespoke, exceptional management tailored to the unique demands of island living - serving as trusted stewards of your most cherished spaces on land and sea.

Arn Lagerwall

With 15 years in the field as both a yacht captain and engineer, Arn has operated and maintained luxury vessels up to 135 feet along the U.S. East and West Coastlines and throughout the Bahamas and the Caribbean. His background includes navigation, vessel operations, and shipyard and project management. He is skilled in passage planning and mechanical systems, including fuel service, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and engine room operations. With a solid background in safety, security protocols, HR, and crew management, he has ensured smooth operations on deck and behind the scenes.

Over the past three years, Arn has transitioned his skills toward estate management, overseeing a 55-acre waterfront property on San Juan Island. He has led large-scale projects, including forest management, road development, home renovations, garden and orchard installations, water system oversight, and smart home/security monitoring. His role also includes vendor coordination, staff supervision, and construction crew management—bringing the same precision and hands-on competence that defined his yachting career to estate operations.

Alicia Carr

Alicia has spent over a decade refining a meticulous skill set, providing top-level concierge support to high-net-worth individuals and households. She has managed lifestyle planning, scheduling, operations, end-to-end staffing, and vendor management for multiple luxury properties and estates, overseeing renovations, interior design installations, and high-profile event planning.

Alicia has curated and cataloged fine art collections and tracked and maintained luxury asset inventories. Additionally, she has orchestrated complex extended global travel arrangements, including private aviation and yachting. She has honed her skills in crafting seamless client experiences. Now, she is bringing her insight to the operational backbone of Wayfarers Estate & Yacht Management, ensuring that, with her organizational support, we can deliver exceptional, personalized service.
